Course Description

The Year 10 Japanese course builds on what you learnt in Year 9.
This year you will learn to read and write katakana. You will continue to build confidence in using hiragana. You will develop all four language skills; reading, writing, listening and speaking. You will also learn about Japanese culture in relation to the topics covered during the year.
The topics are:
•Family
•Describing People
•Houses
•Times and Daily Routines
•School
•Food and Drink
•My Town
Successful completion of this course will lead to NCEA Level One Japanese.
