Course Description

This course will assist you to develop the personal and work skills required to move successfully into the work force and on to further study. Set some goals.  Know how to reach them.  Get ready to become a part of the adventure and life challenges that lie ahead of you.  Develop skills that will stay with you for life.  You will gain an understanding of your legal, work related, and consumer rights and the community services available to you.  You will also have the opportunity to participate in a range of STAR taster courses (e.g. Barista, Early Childhood Care, and Self Defense) and to apply the skills learnt.

All units of work are internally assessed and provide credits towards NCEA Level One.
