FPA232
Course Description

Teacher in Charge:

“Folauga i le Pasefika” is a Samoan translation for exploring/navigating/voyaging the Pacific Ocean. The Pasifika ancestors were great navigators of the Pacific ocean and that is what ties everyone together. This Level 2/3 course is about exploring the Pacific art space. Students will specifically focus on the work of Pasifika art and artists to inspire their own art. Critical, reflective and creative thinking skills, independent approaches to problem solving and self-directed learning, essential for tertiary study, are promoted and developed.
