Course Description

Teacher in Charge: R. Russell

This course further develops the foundations of musical skill learned in Junior music. The areas of learning are Solo Performance, Group Performance, Composition, Aural, Theory, Music Technology and the study of Music Works. Students are offered a range of standards and the course is then individualised to suit each student.

1 x Ringbinder, 1 x A4 lined refill, 1 x A4 Music Manuscript refill, 2 x 2B pencils, $15 Theory and Aural Workbooks


Recommended Prior Learning

1. At least 2 years of prior tuition in voice or a musical instrument or equivalent skill level
2. A working knowledge of how to read and write music
3. The student must attend voice or instrumental lessons all year, be committed to regular practice and participate in at least one school group eg Orchestra, Choir, Jazz Band, Kapa Haka
