Course Description

Lifeskills has a focus on Workplace Skills, Careers, Health and Wellness, and Personal Development. There is a strong emphasis on developing the soft skills that employers look for in their employees, e.g. effective communication; team work; resilience; dependability; self-management and reliability. This course is particularly suitable for students who are interested in a career in the Primary Industries, Trades or Social and Community Services sectors.

Students taking this course have the opportunity to participate in short courses such as Early Childhood Education and Self-Defence.

All units of work are internally assessed and provide credits towards NCEA Level One.
