Course Description

Teacher in Charge: B. Davies

The course focuses on written, oral and visual English as required for NCEA Level One. It includes reading skills, critical awareness, production skills, creative and formal writing, response to literature and reading across a range of texts. The course contains 18 credits.

This course includes two internal assessments. The first one is an oral text. The second is EITHER creative writing OR formal writing. This course also includes three external assessments in the NZQA exam at the end of the year.
