Course Description

During Year 10 English the students are encouraged to practise making and creating meaning by writing, reading, speaking and presenting at increasingly more sophisticated and challenging levels. Reading of studied and unfamiliar written, oral and visual texts as well as personal reading will promote the skills necessary for making meaning. Formal and creative writing as well as speaking in a range of situations and presenting visually will promote the skills required for creating meaning.
