Course Description

This Social Science course has an economics focus looking at some of the big issues facing the New Zealand economy – unemployment, growth, inflation and inequality. We look at causes, models, effects and government intervention as well as economic forecasting. 

Students have the opportunity to attempt up to 16 credits from this course using economics achievement standards.    Students will attempt either 91222 or 91228 - this will be determined at the start of the year and depend on student choice.

You are welcome to pick up this course at Level Two, but please discuss this with with Ms Davies AND one of the Co-HODs Social Sciences (Mrs Peszynski or Ms Baird)
