Through playing and listening to music in a variety of styles, students develop their musical appreciation and their solo and group performance skills. They develop their understanding of how to read and write music through theory and aural exercises. They explore their creativity and improve their notation skills by composing using a variety of computer software.

Recommended Prior Learning
At least one year's tuition on an instrument or voice or equivalent fluency. The student must be enrolled in instrument lessons, either at school or privately. She must be committed to practising her instrument to build her musical understanding and skills.
