Course Description

In this course, you will develop your critical thinking skills, as well as use the teachings of Jesus and the church to apply a critical lens on the constant barrage of information about current issues. You will also learn how to apply modern methods to the reading, interpreting and understanding of the Bible so that we can use the tool of God’s word to help us analyze our modern world. Underpinning this course will be a focus on contemplation, especially as you navigate being the leaders and role models of Sacred Heart College.
Two Level 3 Achievement Standards are available. The first looks at the ethical dilemmas that are present on our world today; the second gives students a deeper understanding of Biblical context and interpretation.
