Year 11 Digital Technology

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: D. Tennent

This full year course develops the skills acquired from the Year 9 and 10 courses. Students use their creative skills to create a range of digital technology outcomes. These outcomes include a computer program and a website. They also learn about the principles of Human-Computer Interaction. The course has a combination of internal and externally assessed achievement standards. The external is essential for course endorsement (merit/excellence).

Recommended Prior Learning

It is recommended that students study year 10 Digital Technology but it is not essential.
If a student is keen to study 11TC we are happy to consider them. They should have strong problem solving skills and be good at maths and science.
As this course is open entry we will consider all applications - please discuss with the HOD technology or teacher in charge of DTC.
